ILUCipher
ILUCipher
Emmanuel Herbulot, 2009, digital print, 14 x 14 in.
The title of the piece is using the acronym ILU:
To me, Cipher or Cypher sounds British much more than US, maybe because of Casino Royale, the 1967 (and 2006) James Bond movie, in wich Cipher is The villain (The Number). So, the British sense of humor inspired me in the end of the work, I decided a phonetic game for the title of the piece: ILUCipher. It indicates an emotional content into the piece made with emoticons. An extended meaning, "Loving Lucifer", is a thought-provoking idea. That's it, forever.
